Keyword Translation Tool Launched

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Saturday 4 July 2009 11:58 am

Attracting foreign language users to your site just got easier with the release of a new keyword research tool.

Kwintessential, a UK based translation agency, have today released their latest translation tool - a keyword translator.

The tool is designed to help website professionals such as webmasters and SEO consultants research keywords in foreign languages.

What are keywords?
Keyword Translation Tool LaunchedKeywords basically refer to internet search terms. For example, if someone was looking for office space to rent they may enter their query in a number of ways into a search engine such as Google, Yahoo! or MSN. Some people may enter “office space” some “rent an office”. Using certain laboratories that research these trends experts are able to identify what terms people are using when looking for office space. At present the top 5 searches for this topic are:

1. office space
2. office rental space
3. office space realtor
4. office space for rent
5. office space for lease

These are known as the keywords for this particular search term (there will of course be many more). Webmasters and SEO experts use the keywords to ensure that they build their websites so that they can attract people from the search engines.

Why keyword translation?

Keyword Translation Tool LaunchedThe internet is going multilingual. Most big companies now translate websites into foreign languages but soon this will start to become the norm. This is to meet the demand of foreign language speaking internet users. Through researching keywords in foreign languages, those with multilingual websites can now ensure they are using the correct search terms to get French, Spanish, Italian or German speakers.

So using the example of office space again, if someone uses the new keyword translation tool they will now find that the top 5 searches in French are:

1. amenagement espace bureau
2. espace bureau
3. restructuration espace bureau
4. espace bureau louer
5. restructuration espace bureau paris

A website owner will now know how to build their website pages in order to bring in queries by French users of search engines. Simple but effective.

Modern Advertising Methods

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Friday 3 July 2009 11:45 am

Advertising is no more limited to television and newspaper ads. Have a look at the modern advertising methods that are catching up…

Modern Advertising MethodsAdvertising and marketing have become an essential part of the business world. If you have a good product or an efficient service to offer, you need to master the art of selling it! While some of the advertising agencies might stick to the conventional advertising methods, most of the leading players are resorting to the fresh and modern advertising methods. There is a new cult of modern advertisers who are experimenting with ideas that are truly modern and innovative! Newspaper advertisements and colored fliers are so pass! Say hello to the era of instant, quick, smart and out-of-the box ideas! Well, if you still associate advertising with the newspaper ads, televisions ads or radio ads for that matter, then you definitely need a refresher course. So lets get started, here is Modern Advertising 101!

Modern Advertising Methods

There are different types of advertising and advertising techniques that are available for promoting products and services. However, here are some of the latest and hottest trends in advertising that are gaining popularity. People are now looking for new types of advertising appeals. Many of the new-age advertising methods are a result of the advent of the Internet, while some of the trends are just novel ideas that have transformed mundane advertising media into brilliant and witty advertising methods! Internet advertising is a vast concept and it entails several sub-types, many of which are only recently introduced. Email advertising is one of the earlier trends, while the new ones include banner advertising, pixel advertising, blog advertising, keyword advertising and contextual advertising.

Web Banner Advertising

Web Banner Advertising If billboard advertising is used on roads, then a similar type called banner advertising is used on the web! Have you noticed the horizontal advertisement strips that are seen at the top of the web page? Web banners are usually constructed using images, or JavaScript, or any other multimedia objects and animations. Web banners are usually link to web pages that are related to the content on the existing website.

Bandwagon Advertising

Well, this is nothing but a propaganda advertising technique, which aims at convincing the user that everyone else is using the products or everyone in the customer base, is in favor of the brand. This compels the consumer to at least think about buying that product and check what everyone else is raving about. Bandwagon advertising is a strategy that is based on consumer psychology and hence, is an effective advertising technique which can be used via any media, be it print, electronic or broadcast.

Promotional Advertising

Promotional advertising involves the use of promotional give-away items or promotional media events, which help to garner public attention and are an effective way of advertising. Handing out promotional freebies is a modern advertising technique that is innovative and very effective as well.

Testimonials and Endorsements

Ever wondered why Colgate brought Brooke Shields on board to promote their toothpaste? Or did you know that Keanu Reeves had once been a part of an advertisement for cornflakes? Well, an endorsement from a celebrity or a public figure is reason enough for certain customers to try a particular product. Such testimonials or endorsements are a great way to advertise particular products and services. Another evolved version of this being a new type called covert advertising, which involves the use of brand names or actual products in movies or television shows which leads to an indirect form of advertising.

Surrogate Advertising

PR and theater advertisingSeveral national laws have banned the advertising of products like alcohol or cigarettes. Owing to this, many umbrella brands have come up with an advertising technique which only promotes the umbrella brand name which of course, also reminds the consumer of the products that have been banned from advertising. For example, Kingfisher doesn’t need to advertise its beer when the general brand name, also conferred to the aircrafts, are being advertised publicly.

Pixel Advertising

Pixel advertising is a new type of Internet advertising in which the cost of an advertisement is calculated based on the number of pixels it occupies. This form of advertising originated in late 2005, when a British student Alex Tew came up with a website called The Million Dollar Homepage, where the advertisers could buy advertising space at the rate of $1 USD per pixel with a space limit of one million pixels. In addition to the space options provided by the hosting websites, there is also the option of using Do-it-Yourself (DIY) pixel scripts, which ensures that people who do not understand the intricacies of the pixel ads can incorporate the pixel ads in their website without any hassles. Some of the commonly used DIY pixel scripts are Million Pixel Script and the GPix Pixel Ad Script.

Contextual Advertising

Do you notice how Google generates ads that are relevant to your search? Or more recently, have you noticed the Google ads that show up next to your emails in the Google mail service? Well, if you are one of those people who still haven’t noticed this, then you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Well, Google Adsense was the first contextual advertising venture. Contextual advertising is a very specifically targeted form of Internet marketing in which the advertisements are selected by automated systems based on the content being viewed by a particular user. The automated system scans the text of a website for keywords and sends advertisements that match the content which the user is viewing. Many search engines also make use of contextual advertising for displaying ads on the search result pages, such that the ads match the things that the user is looking up on the web. After Google started this trend, there were many others like Yahoo and Microsoft who followed suit.

Keyword Advertising

Commonly, keyword advertising is also known as pay per click advertising or cost per action advertising. Although, Yahoo was the first company to venture into keyword advertising, it is Google Adwords program which is now most popular for its keyword advertising. Some of the popular search engines, which are into keyword advertising, include Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft adCenter, Miva and LookSmart.

Blog Advertising
advertising engine searchIf

you thought that a blog was nothing, but an online journal, then you are wrong. Owing to the tremendous popularity of blogs, advertisers have wisely used the blogs as effective advertising and marketing tools. The corporate blogs are excellent ways for companies to reach out to their customer base on the Internet. The advertising blogs often make use of Search Engine Marketing techniques, which ensure better results on the web.

Bathroom Advertising

Truly out-of-the-box isn’t it? Yes, bathroom advertising is nothing, but placement of advertisements in public restrooms! A research was carried out, in which a test group of people visiting a restroom were questioned whether they noticed the advertisements in there, and surprisingly a major percentage of the group were seen to have a high retention of the advertisements. This led to the conclusion that people visiting the restroom are a good target audience. Bathroom advertising is soon catching up as an effective advertising tool.

Mobile Advertising

Yes, as annoying as it might be for you to receive advertisements on your cell phone, it is now a fact that mobile advertising or cell phone advertising is one of the most effective ways of advertising. Most of the times, advertisers have a data of mobile numbers of their existing customer base as well as a list of phone numbers of people who might be potential customers. A message on the mobile phone rarely goes unnoticed and hence, qualifies as an effective marketing or advertising tool!

Public Relations Advertising

Maintaining and developing good public relations has been a marketing tool for companies to maintain goodwill amongst employees as well as clients. It is not only a way to be in the public eye, but also a great way to build and maintain a particular brand image and identity. Public relations is thus a great advertising tool which is used by companies to reach out to their investors, employees and of course, their existing and potential customer base.

Internet Marketing Tools

Internet Marketing Tool For Great Website TrafficThere are plenty of ways to get free web site traffic, and you’ll want to use those ways most often. Free web site traffic is out there for the taking –all you have to do is know how to lure it to your site. However, there are other ways to increase site traffic if your efforts to get free web site traffic are not meeting your expectations or if you simply don’t have time to jump through all the hoops.

If free web site traffic is letting you down, you can always simply buy traffic. It’s an amazing thing — to think that people have actually built businesses around getting traffic to other people’s web sites — but businesses that offer just that service are popping up all over the place. Just think of it like this: Marketing experts must have seemed like strange beasts to the first business owners who encountered them, but they make their clients millions of dollars annually — on business they would not have otherwise enjoyed.

People who buy traffic, as opposed to depending entirely on free web site traffic, are often people who have third-party ads on their sites. If they make their money at least partly by ad clicks, then this endeavor may be a good deal — not to mention that it ups their page view counts. Whether you think this is appropriate for your particular site is up to you, but you can buy traffic if you so desire.

There are packages and services that will help increase free web site traffic, such as Traffic Builder. The software increases site SEO by: providing advice and suggestions, submitting sites to search engines and monitoring keyword usage, as well as the popularity of your link. There are other benefits to using Traffic Builder, and the service generally saves time that would otherwise be needed to increase free web site traffic manually.

Even if you take this route for attracting free web site traffic, and even if you decide to buy traffic on top of that — you must not forget to go out there and hustle your site to viewers through link and banner exchanges. Research the best methods of letting people know your site exists, as well. For instance, it is much better to embed your links naturally throughout the text than to simply have nothing but a list of links. But most importantly, you cannot forget the # 1 rule for increasing web site traffic: offer great content. It will do absolutely no good to get web site traffic — if you can’t keep that web site traffic on your site, where it belongs.

Web Site Copywriting For Search Engines

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Wednesday 1 July 2009 11:10 am

Search Engines

Your goal when copywriting for your web site is to get your site to the top three pages in the SERPs (search engine results position). Any further back than the first three pages or thirty sites, and your site won’t be found because that’s where the average web site surfer stopsafter just three pages of searching. And web site information seekers account for the vast majority of click-throughs on your site.

Copywriting for search engines should be part of your search engine optimization strategy, but it’s challenging to say the least. Most of us are either artistic or scientific types; few are both. But that’s what online copywriting is all about. It’s both an art and a science, and that’s what gets most people on the wrong track.

In a nutshell, good web site copy needs to be rich, keyword-specific and topic-based. Many inexperienced web developers simply use brochures for their web site copy. Don’t let them talk you into it! Search engines most likely won’t find your web site if you do.

The optimal web site page size is around 2 MS Word pages. If you have more copy than that, consider splitting it into two or more. If you find you’ve got more than one topic on a page, split it into two or more.

If you’re like me, your first instinct is to sit down and start plunking away at your keyboard and get as many of your thoughts out as quickly as possible.

And that’s fine for your basic outline, but that’s about as far as it’ll get you. That’s the artistic side. And it just might be the wrong side to start with. I’ve learned over the years that, contrary to my instinct, starting with the scientific is actually easier and faster.

So, where do you start?

The first thing I do is find the right keywords to base my copywriting on, and there’s a relatively simple way to figure out which keywords to use. Open your favorite spreadsheet program (I use MS excel), and head four columns with:

Keyword   #Searched  #Returned &nbspRatio

Then, find a good keyword suggestion tool. Wordtracker has one and so does Overture, and both have free trials. There are also several others out there to use.

Tip: Keyword suggestion tools suggest more keywords and phrases for your search terms.

So, what you’re going to do is brainstorm some keywords and phrases for your product or service, enter them in the ‘keyword’ column, and find out how often it’s searched for in your keyword suggestion tool.

Next go to a search engine and search for the phrase in quotations to find your competition for that word or phrase. And then figure out the ratio of ‘#searched’ to ‘#returned’. What you’re looking for is a low number of returns for a highly searched word or phrase, or a relatively low ratio.

Tip: Keyword phrases often work better than keywords alone.

You want brainstorm a hundred or more words and phrases, and choose two to four to use in your web site copy. And as the saying goes, ‘two heads are better than one’ so ask your family, friends and neighbors for input if you can.

Try a general keyword and start there. You’ll find a general keyword will be searched a lot, but you’ll also find there’s too much competition in most cases, so your ratio is too high. Then try different spellings, misspellings and more specific phrases. You’re looking for two to four target words or phrases per page.

For example ‘bodybuilding’ has a ratio over 4,000, but ‘body building’ is under 3,000. To get more specific, try targeting women. ‘Body building woman’ has a ratio of around 500.

Once we’ve found our target phrases, we can start writing our web site content. But where do we put our targeted keywords and phrases?

Search engines look in specific places to try to determine your web site’s theme, yet they’re all slightly different as to exactly where they look and relative importance of each placing.

Nearly all search engines use page title as one of the most important, so try to make sure your page title uses at least one targeted phrase, or better yet, two. Our example title could be ‘Body Building Supplements - How to Build Muscle | Company Name’ for example. That uses two of our target phrases and our company name. Or we could substitute the protein shake name for the company name.

Some search engines use meta tags, others do not, so I generally include meta tags for the search engines that do.

Heading tags are next in importance, ranging in importance from H1 and down. If you recall, in our last newsletter, we mentioned that headings are also high on your list for catching clients’ interest, so h1 heading tags carry lots of weight for both. One thing to watch for is cute headings, which can work for clients, but won’t work for search engines. To make the search engines happy, you need to include your keywords in your headings.

The last thing to be aware of for search engine copywriting is keyword density and placement. Again, each search engines seems to want something a little different, but you’re pretty safe if you have keywords near the beginning, middle and end of your copy. You’re looking for keyword density balance though because too many and your site is seen as spam by the search engines, while too few mean your web site theme isn’t clear enough to be found by your target audience.

So, now you have your keywords and you can start writing, right? Well, you can, but unless you keep a few points in mind, your copywriting won’t be as effective as you’d like it to be. But that’s the subject for another article.

Honest Keyword Elite Review

Honest Keyword Elite Review

Keyword Elite launched in 2006 with a lot of hype. Does Keyword Elite really work? I bought Keyword Elite and put it to the test. My Keyword Elite reveals the truth about Keyword Elite. Be ready to be shocked.

You may have heard of Brad Callen’s Keyword Elite. If you are thinking of purchasing Keyword Elite then you need to read this reliable and genuine Keyword Elite review. I went to the expense and trouble of purchasing Keyword Elite software so that you don’t have to. Be sure to read this Keyword Elite review before you waste your money on Keyword Elite.

I commence my Keyword Elite review with a bit of background about Keyword Elite. Keyword Elite, like many internet marketing products, has arrived with much fanfare. Unfortunately people new to internet marketing believe too quickly and the fanfare and quickly pull out their credit card without spending the time to read reviews of these internet marketing, like this Keyword Elite review.

It was for this reason that I went to the expense to try Keyword Elite for myself. I had to first register Keyword Elite after purchase through one email address. However, having read the Keyword Elite literature I discovered that I could actually install Keyword Elite software on two computers (just in case one stops working for some reason or another).

I was surprised when I tried Keyword Elite that there were in truth five software programs included in Keyword Elite. These Keyword Elite software programs relate to using Keyword Elite for both Adsense and Adwords purposes.

Here’s a short rundown of the pros and cons of the Keyword Elite software programs found in the Keyword Elite package.

Keyword Elite Pro 1 - it has a very user friendly interface.

Keyword Elite Pro 2 - the first program found in Keyword Elite quickly analyses Pay per click listings including Adwords. You can also use Keyword Elite for Adwords for analysing how many of your competitors there are in Google, Overture and Miva promoting the chosen keyword.

Keyword Elite Pro 3 - you can easily use Keyword Elite to create a large list of as many as 10,000 keywords. However, I would recommend you limit your keyword list initially to 100-500 keywords only as Keyword Elite will become quite slow if it is searching for that many keywords.

Keyword Elite Pro 4 - use Keyword Elite for Adsense. Keyword Elite allows you to create Adsense pages for your websites. With Keyword Elite you can search for the most lucrative Adsense keywords and then create Keyword Elite Adsense pages specifically monetized for the highest paying Adsense keywords.

Keyword Elite Pro 5 - use Keyword Elite to analyse the seo otpmization of specific high ranking websites. This is a very powerful tool for people seeking top 10 google rankings and high natural (free) search engine rankings.

Keyword Elite Pro 6 - Keyword Elite permits you to legally spy on your Adwords competition. You can set up Keyword Elite to “legally” spy on Adwords competitors up to 3 times a day for

given keywords. The key is the longer their ads are running for for those keywords the more lucrative their campaign must be.

Keyword Elite Pro 7 - The Keyword Elite software comes with extensive support, manuals and forums support, manuals and also Keyword Elite video instructions.

Keyword Elite Pro 8 - Keyword Elite comes with a risk free money back guarantee. This means you can buy Keyword Elite and if you don’t like Keyword Elite simply request a refund and you will receive a refund, no questions asked.

Keyword Elite Pro 9 - Keyword Elite updates are given freely constantly after your purchase of Keyword Elite. Brad Callen makes every effort to constantly update Keyword Elite on a regular basis, taking in all the valuable feedback of Keyword Elite users. As I say, these Keyword Elite software updates are free and Keyword Elite users will always be notified of new versions of Keyword Elite available for immediate and free download whenever they start the Keyword Elite program.

Keyword Elite Pro 10 - Your Keyword Elite purchase may be tax deductible.

Keyword Elite Con 1 - Save your energy and don’t use the keyword lists already included in the Keyword Elite software. You will build a much better keyword list yourself.

Keyword Elite Review

Yes, free keyword tools are available online, however, if you are wanting to create an online income through articles, Adwords or Adsense then I highly recommend you download Keyword Elite and put it to immediate use.

As I have already reviewed, your Keyword Elite download not only comes with a money back guarantee but it also may be tax deductible.

Following my purchase of Keyword Elite software I have used it extensively in my internet businesses and it is a key component in my internet businesses. I hope you have found this Keyword Elite review useful.

However, a word of caution. I recommend that you DON’T download Keyword Elite without first checking out the free Keyword Elite program package recommended below where you will receive at no cost an exclusive Keyword Elite download package valued at $2610.00 to help you on your fast way to internet marketing profits. You won’t find a better Keyword Elite deal anywhere else online.

Wait! Don’t download Keyword Elite unless it’s from the website below. Effective Internet Marketing Tools

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Monday 29 June 2009 10:40 am

Internet marketing involves the use of technology to promote a certain product or service. Over the years, dedicated research has revealed certain useful and time-saving tools that enhance the internet marketing exercise…

Effective Internet Marketing Tools

Internet technology has redefined communication and business. It has enabled the user to establish a global presence with the help of certain search engine optimization techniques. These SEO tools are designed around consumer access and web site quality. However, there are some of these strategies that have earned the reputation of being ‘most effective’. These include:

Analytical and Statistical Tracking Program

It is very important for any individual or internet business to enhance profitability by accessing peak performance of the site. In the anonymity of the online business world, it is not uncommon to get ‘lost’ among a myriad of similar products or individual services. It helps to identify the websites and key words that are most likely to attract maximum traffic to the site. This is what search engine optimization is all about. A good analytical and statistical program allows you to instantly maximize traffic and track changes.

Dedicated and Automated Keyword Tracker

In order to benefit from an online presence, it is very important to make a list of product or service related keywords and use them unique combination to rank high on the search engines. It is also important to track regular changes in the rankings. The automated keyword tracker allows you to beat the slow manual process and enrich the site with dedicated SEO changes. The importance of good keyword research is indispensable to the web site. The automated keyword research tool enables you to develop and optimize ranking with the help of suitable keywords. There are also hybrid tools that search ‘click’ frequency and organize ‘price research’.

Heat Maps

This effective internet marketing strategy maps the ‘most clicked areas’ on the site. This helps in the identification of the best places on the website for the headers, navigation points and product or service related content. The mapping of the extensively used and least used areas on the web site help you to identify most useful positions.

Link Popularity Monitoring Tool

Effective Internet Marketing ToolsThis is a simple, back link monitoring tool. It helps automated monitoring of related back-links on the website. The analysis is then used to compare the results with other benchmark websites. The results enable you to address serious design and content changes to acquire desired search engine ranking.

Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is an effective internet marketing tool that offers the website a number of associated categories to benefit from related clicks. Every click can then be converted into a dedicated sale with the help of the traffic thus generated. The genres offered defy the general aversion to sales and advertisement clicks.

Sitemaps

As in the case of any organizational effort, your website too needs to be arranged and clutter free. A quality sitemap makes a huge difference to the website by marking or indexing the content pages within the search engines. In this way, the business benefits from clicks on related keywords and relevant content.

These are just a few of the search engine optimizing tools that have been extensively researched upon and found most effective by providers of SEO services. It is not difficult to see that they are all driven by the common need to secure a higher internet search engine ranking. The business stands to benefit from the automated processes, without a delay due to a much slower human intervention. Timely integration of these SEO tips and techniques enables the business to profit by the segregation of manual and intellectual effort from applications that are conditioned to monitor.

Understanding SEO Basics

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Sunday 28 June 2009 10:30 am

seo services

To understand SEO you need to start at the very beginning. This involves choosing the right keywords that represent your core business. Here’s how!

Search engine optimization is the key to achieving high rankings with top search engines. Without good SEO skills, your site simply won’t show up near the tops of those rankings and you won’t be connected with a good supply of potential customers. Even if you understand what SEO is, you still need to understand a few more important points about how to do search engine optimization effectively.

Choosing Keyword Phrases

Any SEO activities must begin with you selecting specific keyword phrases with which to work. These phrases are important because they will be at the heart of your content. More importantly, these are the words you predict people will enter into search engines in order to find the types of products or services you offer. The good news is you don’t have to be psychic to choose these keywords. You’ll find several free tools on the Internet and many Internet marketing products come with keyword finding tools.

Here’s how it works

Think of a phrase you might use if you were a potential customer for your site. Go to the tool and enter the phrase. Let’s say you sell an ebook on dog training so you naturally choose the phrase “dog training” to enter into the keyword tool. Usually, the tool will give you the search engine volume for the phrase you’ve entered.

That lets you know how frequently people are using the term in their searches. For “dog training,” you’ll probably good average to high volume results. That means it’s a good possibility but most keyword tools also show you how many of your competitors are also using that keyword for their optimization. If that number is very high, your chance of ranking well using that keyword phrase with your SEO is going to be reduced.

keyword tools

The good news is that the keyword tool should also show you a list of alternative keywords that you could use in addition to or instead of the one you initially entered. For example, “best dog training” may still have good search volume but it may not be used by as many competitors. If you optimize for that word, then you stand a better chance of achieving a solid ranking thanks to your SEO. You might also choose a phrase like “pet obedience school” which has almost no use by your competition but does have low search volume. That means some people are searching for the phrase but not many sites have utilized the term. It could be a good bet for decent rankings as well.

Next SEO Steps

You should choose more than one keyword for your efforts. Remember the more words you optimize for the more you increase your chances of scoring high in the rankings for at least one of the terms. Plus, showing up in search engine results for multiple terms means you’ll have even greater exposure to potential customers and leads.

After you’ve chosen several words, you’ll need to begin constructing your content around those words. Although a little tricky, SEO isn’t as challenging as you might think.

Once you have picked the right keyword, that’s half the job done. To continue with SEO or Search Engine Optimization.

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Saturday 27 June 2009 10:20 am

increase traffic to your websiteHow many times have you written articles and never had them noticed? The problem might be that your article was not optimized for specific keywords. Choose specific keywords when writing yours articles and use them in the title and throughout your document. keyword density is basically calculating the number of times that your specific keyword is used within your article.

The first thing that you want to remember is that you do not want to overstuff your article or document with your intended keywords. If anything, this will hurt your site or article from ever being seen for the reason of being rejected or worse, labeled as spam. By checking your keyword density before hand you reduce the risk of your article being rejected and help to improve the search engine results.

You will need to check for keyword density within your article by counting the number of times that your keyword appears. If your article is three hundred words in length, you would divide the number of keywords by three hundred to get your keyword density for that article. The accepted norm for keyword density is around three to five percent, which will get you noticed by the search engines.

As an example, let’s say that your total number of keywords which are in your article is twelve times. You would simply divide twelve by three hundred and come up with four percent keyword density in that article. This is right in the middle of the rule which will make your article acceptable.

The standard three to five percent rule for keyword density will apply to all your articles. Also, this rule will apply for other keywords placed in your article, whether single keywords or keyword phrases. A simple procedure to check your keyword density would be to place your content in software like word.

pay per click trackingThan click on the tools menu and select the word count, this will give you the total number of words in your article. After you get the total word count, select the find function in the edit menu. Click on the replace tab and type in your keyword that you want to find. Than replace that word with the exact same keyword so no changes will be made to the original article.

When you finish the replace function the system provides you with a total count of the words you replaced. This is the number of times that you used the keyword in your article. With the total word count that you previously got and the total of the keywords you will now be able to calculate what your keyword density is for your article.

Another way of performing this would be to use a keyword density analyzer tool which will perform the same function in one step. This type of tool can also perform other functions based on keywords and phrases and can also analyze the keywords from competing websites.

No matter which method you choose to use, it is best to stay within the parameters of the keyword density rule. This will help to ensure that your document is received by the search engines and that your article will not be rejected.

Domain Appraisal Guide

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Friday 26 June 2009 10:11 am

domain registrationDomain appraisal route in the current diverse market situation is a big challenge. Sometimes it is hard or even impossible to leave out the subjective opinion and just stick to the facts and statistics.

However, it is dangerous to approach domain appraisal on “like it/don’t like” basis. That’s why an exact guide or checklist can provide a great help and make the appraisal process much easier.

Strictly speaking, there are 20 main factors in domain appraisal procedure. You will easily set the right value of your domain if you follow these steps.

1. Industry popularity. It is very important to answer a question “what is the market volume this domain applies to?” It may be a short and nice name but it will have less value if it cannot generate enough business.

2. Niche situation. It is sometimes a matter of fashion. Once you have applied the domain to a certain market, explore how wide or narrow is the niche it would fit in.

3. Keyword popularity. The best method of market prediction and one of the most accurate domain appraisal tools is the keyword popularity check. You have to find out the number of monthly searches for the keyword term your domain represents. Two of the all time favourites are Google Adwords Keyword tool and Yahoo’s Overture. If a domain name doesn’t contain any recognizable keyword, it should be brandable (see the point #10).

4. Substantiality. It is a domain appraisal criterion that evaluates if the domain name is serious enough to have business people showing any interest. Wacky names may be fun but they doesn’t attract enough business.

5. Top level domain value. Yes, .COM maybe is king but how about other TLDs? Top tier extensions are .COM, .NET, .ORG, .CO.UK and .DE. They have a potential of going for over $100,000. Midfield consisting of .NL, .US, .FR, .RU, .IN and .CN hardly ever reaches $100,000 but can go beyond that for the right name.
Lower end of .INFO, .TV, .MOBI, .FM, .AM, .BE and .CC are sometimes seen selling in $XX,000 region whereas the struggle TLDs .BIZ, .WS, country TLDs and .NAME rarely make a thousand. Yet the domain appraisers have to keep in mind that a great .BIZ will definitely make more money than a shabby .COM.

6. Phone test can determine if there is some off-line value in the domain. If you can dictate the name over your phone without spelling it letter by letter, you may add more dollars to the price.

7. Memory test is another method of domain appraisal that determines if it has a business potential. Test your friends - tell them the name a 1ff8 nd see if they would be able to recall it after a day or two.

8. Length of the name. There is still a strong demand for three-letter and four-letter .COM domains. However, the majority of these aftermarket transactions take place amongst domain name “flippers” or re-sellers. It is not necessary for a name to be short in order to be good seller - a longer name that can still be easily memorized and that makes a perfect sense, will do as good.

9. Product recognition. From the business point of view, it is important that the visitor would be able to predict the content of the web-site once he sees the domain name.
A name containing “telephone”, “mobile” or “games” and similar popular products would be likely to fetch more in the aftermarket. Whereas, a domain that resembles a popular branded product may prove a difficult thing to sell.

10. Brandability. In the situation when almost 100% of the English dictionary words are already registered as domain names or branded, if someone comes up with an interesting new word that can be turned into a trademark, domain appraisal has to consider and recognize that. It is essential to check both US and UK trademark registries before setting the sale price.

11. Exact keyword. It may be an advantage to have a single-keyword domain name, also two relevant keywords without a hyphen spells good selling price. However, when it comes to three or more keywords in a single domain especially when they are hyphenated, it will drastically reduce the aftermarket price.

12. Language. Top sellers are the domains in correct English language due to the worldwide audience and all the English-speaking countries. Also Spanish and German names sell quite well.

13. Clean grammar. Typos were popular some time ago. Now it is very important for business reputation to have a grammatically correct domain name.

14. Domain age. As the search engine algorithms deal with site ranking, domain age is quite important. Older domains tend to rank higher.

15. PageRank and domain appraisal. Initially PageRank was introduced by Google to rank web-pages by their importance. As webmasters still continue to fret about PageRank, it is still considered as a factor in domain appraisal.

16. Type-in traffic. If a domain name is short and obvious, it will attract traffic from direct browser type-ins. If you can prove a significant type-in traffic, you can set the selling price on a higher level.

17. Organic traffic. Again, it is necessary to provide a proof that the site receives free organic traffic from search engines and referrals. It is very difficult to build traffic and if the initial work is already done, you will expect the buyer to pay more.

18. Development value. Domain appraisal should also consider how the associated website is developed and optimized. On the other hand, an unprofessional site can harm the sales potential. There is nothing wrong with selling a domain with a web-site as a package deal, yet the quality of the site should be top-notch! The domain appraisal factors 14 to 18 are meant to deal with names that already have a web-site. If you are trying to appraise a blank domain name, you should not consider these points.

19. Total revenue generated from the site. A proof of regular revenue from different advertising and affiliate programs will drive the sale price up, yet a good site content alone will doubtfully make a good sale if the domain doesn’t meet at least some of the aforementioned criteria from 1 to 13.

20. Comparison. Before concluding a domain appraisal, you will want to compare the domain with previous similar sales from the aftermarket. Although it is true that each name is unique, there is fashion and there are trends. That’s why it may be useful to visit Sedo, Tdnam or any other aftermarket to see what domains attract more bids, explore the internet for previous sales. A good idea is to sign up for several web-master forums in order to explore the domain appraisal requests posted by members. You will be able to post a domain appraisal request yourself and compare your verdict with judgment of fellow webmasters.

This guide contained the 20 primary criteria of domain appraisal. Use them to determine the value of names you buy and sell. If you keep this guide as your checklist, you will probably find that domaining is an interesting and rewarding industry.

Keyword Sniping Review

Posted by admin | keyword suggestion tool | Thursday 25 June 2009 4:45 pm

ebay snipingCourtney Tuttle wrote an amazing article that is probably one of the best articles I’ve read on the subject of internet marketing. In fact, at the time of this writing if you go to Google and search for “internet marketing”, his website comes up in the top 3.

This is huge for me when assigning credibility to methods of either making money online or promoting a website, etc. The fact that he comes up in the top 5 for such a saturated competitive keyword is a serious indication that the guy knows what he’s doing. So, I read more of what he has to say and I’m going to summarize some of that and offer a few additional tips for taking his content and expanding to the next level.

First of all, keyword sniping is about finding a keyword phrase that is getting a good amount of searches but has less competition. In most cases depending on which niche you’re going after, you can usually find great keyword phrases that have virtually no competition. This is especially true if you are promoting local or regional services with the name of the location in the keyword phrase.

Finding the keywords starts with keyword research tools. I personally use Google AdWords, not only the keyword suggestion tool, but the actual AdWords account to get an actual number of about how many searches are done because if you have an AdWords account, you can setup a campaign and Google will estimate clicks. These clicks that Google estimates are based on the pay-per-click model, so I usually assume a higher click through rate to get a more conservative estimate on how many searches per day on Google.

There are other free keyword suggestion tools besides Google. Another one is at Wordtracker and another one that I know of that uses Wordtracker data is at SEObook.com.

Once you have your keywords, you’ll design a website around this topic. Courtney mostly suggests using Wordpress which I agree with completely, but you may also be able to duplicate the same thing with Blogger.com for instance… or some other free blogging platform. At the time of this writing, the keyword “make money online” search brings back in the number 1 spot on Google a website that is hosted on blogger (blogspot.com). Considering how competitive that keyword is, and how the number 1 spot is a blogspot website, a top ranking CAN be had by a blogger site.

auction snipeThe same principles of getting ranked apply to just about any site. The key is relevancy. The more relevant the content is to your website and keyword, the better chance you’ll have of getting that site ranked. Article websites are probably one of the best methods of getting this related content and relevant content primarily because you are the one that controls the content of the page and the link text and everything else for instance.

You’re reading this article now on EzineArticles which is one of the best article sites there is for this exact reason. Also, you’ll notice once you start doing the keyword research that several articles from EzineArticles.com get ranked very well in the search engines.

Although Courtney says that duplicate content doesn’t matter (which I agree to an extent)… if you’re going for nothing more than one site in the top 10 or top spot for the search engine, your duplicate content won’t matter and you can use the article marketing tool that he suggests in his article. If you only really care about the incoming links as far as their ability to get your main website ranked, then duplicate articles are no problem. However, if you want to get one of your ezine articles ranked, it shouldn’t be a duplicate article.

Article marketing is a great way to get rankings and if you add article marketing to some social networking link building strategies, you’ll do really well with getting a top ranking in the search engines for one of these keyword phrases. If you want to test this out, pick a keyword phrase that gets 15 - 30 searches per day but has no competition and see how well you do in the search engines. Often times, when going for a more competitive keyword, it may take a few months to get a top ranking. Many internet marketers (myself included) don’t always have the patience to go for multiple months promoting the same thing so this is a critical step to getting rankings for those more competitive keywords.
